In January 2022 the Party Committee of the state‑owned TKV Group adopted Resolution 22‑NQ/ĐU, setting a five‑year digital transformation programme aimed at 2025 and outlining a vision to 2030. The decree elevated digitalisation to a dedicated party resolution, mandating every member unit to create a steering committee and a concrete implementation plan. Over the next four years the leadership issued 77 guiding documents, conducted seven specialised inspections, and linked digital goals to political tasks, production plans, restructuring, mechanisation and automation. This disciplined approach spurred a surge of innovation: the group recorded 3,400 submitted ideas generating an estimated profit of VND 151.4 billion, while its youth cohort pursued 92 scientific research projects.
Building on that foundation, the Politburo’s Resolution 57‑NQ/TW (22 December 2024) called for a breakthrough in science, technology, innovation and national digitalisation. Responding, TKV’s Party Committee issued Resolution 09‑NQ/ĐU on 7 May 2026, defining digital transformation as a holistic overhaul of models, processes, culture and mindset, centred on people and measured by clear indicators. The new roadmap targets, by 2030, a fully digital enterprise with an average digital‑maturity level of four‑fifths or higher, a digital‑economy contribution of roughly 30 % to growth, complete digitisation of data and workflows, a centralised data centre, and widespread AI‑enabled smart management and production.
Looking further ahead, TKV aspires to become a large Southeast Asian economic conglomerate by 2045, operating under international standards, with the digital economy accounting for about 50 % of growth, mastery of advanced technologies, deep‑processing, green and circular economy practices, and alignment with the government’s net‑zero emissions target.
