10th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union
On 11 September 2023, the 10th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union (Hội Liên hiệp thanh niên Việt Nam TP.HCM) convened a formal session attended by senior officials including former Vice President Trương Mỹ Hoa and Party Secretary Nguyễn Phước Lộc. After democratic deliberations, the delegates elected 88 members to the Union’s Committee and appointed Lê Tuấn Anh, currently Vice‑Secretary of the City Youth Federation and Chairman of the Union’s 9th term, as Chairman of the 10th term (2026‑2031).
The new leadership team also includes eight vice‑chairpersons:

- Nguyễn Thanh Bình
- Phan Tấn Đạt
- Đạo sĩ Thích Trí Đức
- Ngô Thị Hiền
- Phan Minh Hoàng
- Võ Thị Bích Phương

In his inaugural remarks, Lê Tuấn Anh emphasized the Union’s role in expanding solidarity, nurturing youth potential and implementing the resolutions of the National Congress amid Ho Chi Minh City’s rapid development.
5th Central Committee Meeting of the Vietnam Youth Union
A week later, on 15 September 2023, the 5th Central Committee meeting of the Vietnam Youth Union (Tổng Ủy ban Hội Liên hiệp thanh niên Việt Nam) finalized its senior roster for the 2024‑2029 term. The committee elected Nguyễn Kim Quy, Secretary of the Central Youth Federation and standing Vice‑Chairman of the Union, as Chairman of the 9th Central Committee.
Born on 27 September 1984 in Bắc Ninh, Nguyễn Kim Quy holds a master’s degree and a senior political theory qualification, with a career spanning key roles in the Hanoi Youth Federation and the national Union, including Vice‑Chairmanship of the 8th term.
The meeting also appointed:
- Lê Hải Long as Vice‑Chairman (Youth and Children Affairs)
- Đỗ Tuấn Hạnh as Vice‑Chairman (Youth Development)
Both leaders are tasked with strengthening youth participation, fostering entrepreneurship and advancing the Union’s strategic objectives across Vietnam.
